Groovy Salon and Studio is a family hair salon and portrait studio for children and adults of all ages.

Groovy Salon and Studio was previously Kidzstudio, we just decided to make it much more groovy! Same owners, same location, just a new name!

We offer many services from a basic bang trim to coloring, highlighting, and of course our beautiful portraits and portrait restoration.

We also have a game room/waiting area to entertain children of all ages. Also, each hair station was individually designed for different personalities. They all have DVD players so you can watch cartoons or movies while you get your hair done.

The game room is a nice tool to keep your children busy while they are waiting to get their hair done or while siblings are getting their hair done or even mom and dad. It also helps to get your children to the studio. There are games for big and little kids and and a chalkboard wall that can keep them busy.

Johnny and Beth Large have been working together for 18 years in the photography industry. In the late 80's they operated a church directory franchise which took them to the Northwest for several years. They moved back home to Georgia and successfully ran a photographic fundraising company throughout the 90's.

They traveled all over the country photographing children and families raising funds for organizations like the Red Cross and the American Cancer Society. After having three children they decided to stop traveling and settle down in Woodstock, Johnnys childhood home of 35 years. They wanted to create a portrait studio that was unique and affordable, this idea evolved into a hair salon and portrait studio for all ages. Groovy Salon and Studio began as a children's studio but soon became a family salon and studio, a place where all ages are welcome.
